Setting Up a New Server Instance
You can configure multiple server instances for use with Information Server, using different IP addresses or ports.
To set up a new server, do the following:
- 1. On the Welcome page, click the Host Manager Button.
- 2. Click the New... button. Information Server displays the following page.

- 3. In the Server Name field, enter a name of your choice to identify this instance of Information Server.
- 4. Use the Initial Settings to identify the instance of Information Server from which you want to copy the settings. This includes server settings and collections. You can also select Default to select the Information Server default settings.
- 5. Click Create to create the new instance.
