Getting Started

To begin using Information Server, do the following:

1. Start Information Server:

On Windows NT, double click the SEARCH'97 Information Server icon that the installation program added to the Start button.
On Solaris, enter the following URL in your Web browser as described below: if you are using NSAPI:

http://server/search97secure/s97a.vta?
if you are using cgi:

http://server/search97securecgiadm/s97a_cgi.exe?

where server is the server on which you installed Information Server.

2. If you want the Information Server menu icons to be displayed in a Frame on the left side of your browser window, click Use Frames.

3. To proceed to the Quick Start, click Configure Server.

The Information Server installation program automatically configures default settings for your server.
